Patient Education
Taking Care Series
Created for patients and families, our Taking Care series is designed to help prevent some of the most serious adverse events that patients experience. These programs may be ordered by caregivers, or clinicians may order them to supplement the patient education they provide.
The first tool in this series is Taking Care to Prevent Pressure Ulcers At Home, a 30 minute DVD that gives practical demonstrations and verbal instructions that will enable caregivers to prevent pressure ulcers. The program includes easy-to-follow instructions about the "Four Rights”: the right bed and chair surfaces, the right positioning plan, the right skin care, and the right nutrition.
If you are a health care provider, you may wish to purchase this program for all of your at-risk patients. Or perhaps you are family member seeking information for a loved one. Whatever your situation, this program provides practical instruction at an affordable price.
Many hospitals, long term care facilities, and home care providers use this video as a training program for technical and support staff. This is a great resource for improving patient care!
